Peanut Pool

Let's go swimming Grandma!This is Jocelyn's favourite pool. She can touch everywhere and had no problem making friends to play with.
Spencer seems to love it too!

SUMMER TIME!!

First day in Vernon we went to the beach!! HOT! Loved the hot weather and the lake! Of coarse we were there early and practically had the beach to ourselves for a while.Jocelyn turned into a mermaid while we were there!Spencer wasn't too sure about water at first. Jocelyn jumped right in and had a refreshing swim.

Driving to Vernon

Driving to Vernon was a bit of an adventure. It was just me with the two kids. Jocelyn was such a big helper!! The was the second of five stops along the way. Spencer got VERY car sick so we had a bit of a smelly, hot drive.
We had to stop again, have some lunch and go for a little adventure to stretch our legs.

First Big Bike Ride for Jocelyn

Now that we've moved and are pretty much settled, it's time to take advantage of the super park that we have 2 blocks away. Fishcreek park is a fabulous place to walk/bike, explore. Sean, Don and I took Spencer, Jocelyn & Erin, Jocelyn's friend next door, to Fishcreek for a bike ride. We ended up going for about 2 hours! A little long for the first ride, but they still had fun.
They have great paths and bridges and even caves to explore.

This is just one small part of the park. Now that Jocelyn is really good at riding her bike we go all the time.

Mad Science!

Jocelyn's cousin Eve had a "Science" birthday party and we had to make a lab coat for Jocelyn. We had a ton of fun making it!! Then we decided that she needed to have some crazy hair!! She loved the fact that there was a paaperclip in her hair. The party was a great success! Thanks Eve!

Last Day of Soccer

On the last soccer game for the year we finally had a nice day! Jocelyn didn't want to play, can you tell by the facial expression....geez!!Took her only about 5 minutes before she was right in there practicing and having a great time.Jocelyn really likes to play soccer, that's it for this year! Future soccer star!!

Calaway Park

The little girl that I look after had her 3rd birthday party at Calaway park. These are all the kids that went. We had a great time, nice weather and tons of fun!!Jocelyn went on this roller coaster AFTER we took her on the "BIG" one. She did great on the big one but I don't think she'll be going on it for a few more years. It goes upside down and REALLY fast!!! She's sooo brave!THIS roller coaster was definitely more here size and speed!!We had to get treats!! Jocelyn got a huge sucker and Spencer.....CAR!! Surprise, surprise! I think the car was the highlight for Spencer, it even makes noise.The merry-go-round! Another huge hit!

Jocelyn & Spencer seem to like the new house too! They both love that there's a park right outside the door.Spencer got his "summer" haircut!! Wow, he looks like a different child.Jocelyn can't decide if she want to get her hair cut short or leave it longer. She'll be getting her's cut soon too.

The Move

My mom and Doug came for the weekend and helped us move. Well really Sean and Doug moved EVERYTHING. The piece of furniture was aptly named "The Spanish Inquisition" or "The Beast". This coffee table probably weighs about 25o pounds and has to be the most awkward piece of furniture to move. Sean and Doug left it till last....good thing too 'cause they didn't want to move anymore afterwards!!Grandma was a HUGE help packing boxes and entertaining the kids!! Jocelyn had a great time making chalk.These are a few pics of the new place. We absolutely love it.

Out and About

After soccer pictures we went exploring at our new lake! One of the rare nice days that we've had so far this spring!!
